Pange „Nakupenda” Sandbank

Anchorage

The yacht is anchored on the northern part of Pange, where it is a little deeper (7-10 m) because there are corals close to the beach.

Ticket

It requires payment of the National Park Tax, which we cover.

Learn

Sandbanks are mainly formed by water currents and sea waves that move sand and other sediments to the bottom of a sea, river, or lake.

Pange Sandbank, colloquially called Nakupenda (meaning „I love you”), is located closest to Stone Town and is therefore one of the most popular sandbanks on the island. It’s usually quite crowded, but it boasts a beautiful reef on its northern side.
